Asiana Ponciano is the Social Media Marketing Specialist at Hawaiian Airlines, wherehe is responsible for overseeing the global social media marketing and community management strategy. During her six years with Hawaiian Airlines, Asiana has grown the airline’s social media community from 30,000 to over 1 million members, developed  social media marketing and community management processes, implemented integrated campaigns, and championed the importance of social media marketing and social customer care throughout the company. Asiana was born and raised in Honolulu then studied Journalism and English Literature at San Francisco State University. Before working at Hawaiian Airlines, Asiana wrote for print and online publications both in California and Hawaii as well as produced content for a women’s lifestyle website and co-hosted a podcast, which focused on women and technology. During her free time, Asiana volunteers as a board member for a local non-profit in Hawaii that provides services for victims of human trafficking, youth, and new immigrant populations. Asiana also can’t say no to karaoke and a tasty poke bowl (made with fresh island fish, of course).
